The ICA is very honored to be a part of the Fishbein Family Interstitial Cystitis Research Foundation, Inc. The Fishbein Family Foundation is a charitable foundation established in 1997 to further the cause of medical research into interstitial cystitis. The Foundation's mission is twofold: to find the causes of, and a cure for, IC; and to relieve discomfort in patients until that goal can be achieved. Since its inception, the Foundation has already awarded over $1 million in IC research projects.

The ICA administers this Program, and much like the ICA’s Pilot Research Program, the Fishbein Family Interstitial Cystitis Research Program helps researchers to establish the very important preliminary data that can then be used further their IC research pursuits.
